The association’s annual projection based on internal sales figures shows that the 19 member companies of the European Producers of Laminate Flooring (EPLF) increased their global sales by 6 per cent to 496 m² in 2007. The association also estimates the overall share of EPLF member companies in the world market at 55 per cent. Sales of laminate flooring rose by 4.2 per cent to 297 mio m² in western Europe, and in eastern Europe growth came to 37.5 per cent and 121 mio m². Heading the field in western Europe are Germany, France, Britain, Spain and the Netherlands, and Poland, Romania and Russia are leaders in eastern Europe, with sales volumes of between 20 and 30 mio m² of laminate flooring.
