Home Depot, the world's largest DIY and home improvement retailer, ranks among the most successful internet players

Home Depot, the world's largest DIY and home improvement retailer, seems to be one of the most successful internet players as well. According to information from Internet Retailer magazine, the company ranks second only to Wal-Mart in number of name searches, which puts it far ahead of its main competitor Lowe's. Home Depot notched up 2.915 mio searches, Wal-Mart totalled 3.560 mio and Lowe's 1.281 mio. Third position is occupied by America's second-largest discounter Target (2.378 mio), whereas Sears, once America's largest retailer, ranks sixth (1.672 mio).
