New opening in Russia

Rautakesko officially opened its eighth K-Rauta in St Petersburg on 1 December 2007. The store is located in the north-east of the city and boasts a total floorspace of 14 500 m², of which 7 000 m² is out-of-doors. As many as 10 000 visitors were recorded on the opening day, and 3 000 of these went home with a customer card in their pockets. There are two more new openings for St Petersburg on Rautakesko’s agenda for 2008, but the group is also setting its sights on other Russian cities as well, according to Mikko Pasanen, country manager Russia.
