At the end of the first nine months of the current business year the Baywa group of companies had achieved sales of € 5.3 bn, or 0.8 per cent down on the same period last year. Sales in the building segment went down by 8.4 per cent to a total of € 1.281 bn. The group's DIY and garden store division increased their revenue to € 354 mio, representing an increase of 11 per cent. According to Baywa, the crucial factors here are the good business done by the garden segment in the spring, together with the opening of new, large-format stores and the optimisation of existing outlets.
