Growth for Rona

Sales saw growth of 6.7 per cent in the third quarter of 2007

The Canadian Rona Group has announced a sales increase of 6.7 per cent (0.1 per cent like-for-like) to C $ 1.35 bn (€ 963 mio) for the third quarter of 2007 compared with the same period last year. The DIY and home improvement stores accounted for C $ 1.063 bn (€ 758 mio) of the total, which represents an increase of 9.0 per cent. By contrast, trade sales went down by 1 per cent to C $ 287.9 mio (€ 205.4 mio). The group’s operating profit rose during this period by 11 per cent to C $ 121.6 mio (€ 86.8 mio).
