Ongoing expansion

Lowe’s is planning between 135 and 145 new openings for 2008. The company, which is the second-largest DIY retailer in the USA, expects sales to increase by 8 to 11 per cent annually during the financial years 2008 – 2010. According to a press release, profit growth in 2008 is expected to be in the median single-digit range. The company is planning to enter the Mexican market in 2009.
