In the second quarter of 2007 the French DIY group Bricorama achieved sales of € 175.3 mio, an increase of 2.8 per cent on the same period last year. For the first six months of 2007 the group reveals sales growth of 6.4 per cent to € 328.1 mio. Sales in France went down by 2.5 per cent to € 114.3 mio in the second quarter of 2007, while the DIY stores in Belgium and the Netherlands succeeded in notching up a sales plus of 13.2 per cent to € 56.6 mio. Bricorama is a franchisee of Intergamma in these countries. The positive trend continued in Spain as well: sales of the three Bricorama stores rose by 52 per cent to € 3.5 mio. Moreover, the group was able to attract two more franchisees in Spain during the second quarter.
