Merfin ups its stake

On 9 July managers of Merkur, the Slovenian DIY retailer, acquired a 15.64 per cent stake in the company through Merfin; their ownership share was then increased to 20.88 per cent. Merfin was founded by 65 Merkur managers, including the entire board of management. Together with their own shares, these members now own nearly 24 per cent of Merkur.
