New opening in St Petersburg

Metrika opened its eighth DIY superstore in the St Petersburg conurbation on 15 July 2007. It makes use of a car park shared with a large supermarket. The Russian DIY multiple has doubled its total number of stores in St Petersburg during the first six months of 2007 and added 40 000 m² to its floorspace. The company is currently working on new openings in the Moscow area, in Leningrad, Pskov, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Tambov and Penza. Expansion in St Petersburg is also set to continue. Work has begun there on the construction of a two-storey outlet that boasts an overall area of 12 000 m² in the retail park close to the Ladozhsky metro station.
