The Israeli manufacturers of DIY products exported goods to the value of US $ 1.5 bn (€ 1.1 bn) in 2006. That is an increase of around 15 per cent. According to information from Yechiel Assia, director general of the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute (IEICI), a further increase of twelve per cent is expected for 2007. More than 60 per cent of the exports are destined for Europe, mainly for England, France and Germany. A further 37 per cent goes to America, and three per cent to Australia and various other countries.
