Reach comes into force

The new European chemicals legislation, called REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) comes into force on 1 June 2007. The legislation regulates the production and handling of chemicals and will generate an increased need for communication in the DIY trade’s procurement chain, especially with regard to imports from Asia.
