Strong through long-term concept

The Hornbach Group completed the 2006/2007 financial year (to February 28) on a successful note. Total net turnover of Hornbach Holding AG increased by 7.5 per cent to € 2.544 bn. The turnover of the most important subsidiary group, Hornbach Baumarkt AG, which had 120 large-format DIY and garden stores in operation in eight countries of Europe on the date of balance sheet, rose by 7.1 per cent to a € 2.392 bn net. An increase of 4.0 per cent was recorded in like-for-like terms. The Hornbach Group's EBIT saw an increase of 29.6 per cent to € 119.1 mio, and the group managed to more than double its profit for the financial year to € 75.9 mio (+138.6 per cent). The EBIT of Hornbach Baumarkt AG rose by 36.9 per cent to € 96.1 mio and the group's profit for the financial year was 143.1 per cent up to € 60.78 mio.
