Marked rise in Germany

Gross sales in German DIY stores have already exceeded € 4.046 bn in the first three months of 2007. This is an increase of 8.1 per cent on the first quarter of the previous year. In like-for-like terms the increase is 6.4 per cent. This is the biggest sales increase in the sector for a number of years, according to the BHB.
