The 20 member companies of the European Producers of Laminate Flooring (EPLF) achieved worldwide sales of 468 mio m² of laminate flooring manufactured within Europe in 2006. This represents a 0.7 per cent increase in sales. The Association estimates that the EPLF member companies account for around 60 per cent of the global market. Germany is the largest single market in Europe with a total of 98 mio m² (previous year: 88 mio m²). Sales in western Europe came to a total of 285 mio m² (four per cent up on the previous year), and to 88 mio m² in eastern Europe, which amounts to an increase of seven per cent.
