The company takes leave of its flooring business

According to an announcement on Forbes.com, Home Depot is to close down its two Floor Stores as well as the call centre, just nine months old, that has the task of coordinating laying procedures. The online service also claims that the world's largest operator of DIY and home improvement stores wants to concentrate on its traditional retail business. The first Floor Store of 4 200 m² opened in Texas in mid-2000, after which came another outlet in Florida. Following the announcement that the company intends to sell or hive off its HD Supply wholesale division, the 34 Expo Design Centers might also be in line for disposal now.
