Four per cent more greenery

Last year Bloemenveiling Aalsmeer recorded the sale of flowers and plants worth approximately € 1.75 bn

Bloemenveiling Aalsmeer of the Netherlands concluded the year 2006 with a turnover of € 1.75 bn. That is four per cent more than the previous year. Cut flowers accounted for € 1.07 bn of the total (an increase of 2.7 per cent). Sales of plants for the house and garden rose by 5.8 per cent to € 686 mio. It is expected that the operating profit will reach € 5 mio. Flowers and plants to the value of more than € 5.3 bn were sold through Aalsmeer.
