"Positive mood swing"

Domotex came to a close in Hanover on 16 January with increased visitor and exhibitor figures. Around 44 000 trade visitors came to the world's leading fair for carpets and floor coverings to glean the very latest in information. The total for the comparable year, 2005, was 43 855. The number of exhibitors increased to 1 360 (2005: 1 244). Deutsche Messe AG rates the event as an overall success. "The positive mood swing was clearly noticeable," said chairman Stephan Ph. Kühne. According to the fair organisers' statement, the trend to greater internationality remains unbroken, with 80 per cent of the companies coming from abroad this year (2005: 78 per cent). The proportion of international visitors has risen to 60 per cent (2005: 56 per cent).
