Hagebau announces record results for 2006

The Hagebaumarkt stores increased their sales by 3.0 per cent last year. The cooperative group has announced a new sales record overall. Estimates suggest that the group has increased centrally invoiced sales by 11.0 per cent to € 3.73 bn, with € 3.34 bn of the total generated in Germany, where sales rose by 11.8 per cent. The group of companies is expecting record earnings for the fourth time running. According to information from the company, the builders' and timber merchant business was specially responsible for the sales increase in Germany, where it recorded growth of 18.0 per cent. The cooperative currently has 293 members (last year: 284) with 1 110 outlets (1 051) in Germany, Austria and Hungary.
