Going it alone

Ewald Repnik, who was managing director of J.W. Ostendorf from January 2006, left the company at year's end. According to a statement from the German paint manufacturer, he intends to establish his own company working on the development of commercial real estate and the operation of furniture stores in the eastern part of central Europe. Repnik was a member of the board of the Austrian DIY retailer, Baumax, for 13 years, until he moved over to the board of the Austrian furniture store Kika/Leiner four years ago.
