Profit increase for Lowe's

Lowe's announces a 5.8 per cent increase in sales to US $ 11.2 bn (€ 8.7 bn) for the third quarter, or a decline of 4.0 per cent in like-for-like terms. For the first nine months the company reports a sales increase of 12.6 per cent to US $ 36.5 bn (€ 28.5 bn), or 1.7 per cent like-for-like. Net profit rose in the third quarter over the previous year by 10.8 per cent to US $ 716 mio (€ 559 mio) and in the first nine months by 20.3 per cent to US $ 2.46 bn (€ 1.92 bn).
