Takeover in the grass seed business

The Danish DLF-Trifolium group is taking over Advanta Seeds' grass seed division from Limagrain-Verneuil Holding, which belongs to the French Groupe Limagrain. Advanta Seeds' grass and clover business comprises annual sales of approximately 20 000 tons of grass and clover seed, which the DLF-Trifolium group claims to amount to a market share of around ten per cent in western Europe. This acquisition will enable the group, which has an annual turnover of € 270 mio, to consolidate its position as one of the leading companies in the grass seed business.
