Business with China continues to hold steady. That is the upshot of this year's China Trade Events, which ended their three-day run in Düsseldorf on 15 September. Altogether 3 000 buyers from over 30 countries came here, especially central buyers from the wholesale and export trade (37.0 per cent), from the retail trade and mail order sector (18.7 per cent), as well as customers from manufacturing industry (17.8 per cent), who took advantage of the China Trade Events for their buying and procurement marketing. There was an especially strong demand for automobile parts and accessories, building, DIY and plumbing supplies, along with housewares and kitchen equipment. China Trade Events for the first time presented under one and the same roof two trade fairs, China Sourcing and Canton TradEx Europe, together with the cooperative market China Autoparts 2006, with 350 Chinese manufacturers altogether. China Sourcing was staged here for the second time. According to the organisers Reed Exhibitions, the accompanying programme of seminars met with a great reception. Throughout all the three days it offered expert presentations on the subject of the export trade with the P.R. of China.
