The BBE is assuming an increase to the tune of 0.9 per cent for the garden market in the current year. The next few years are expected to bring increases as well
The BBE management consultancy expects growth of 0.9 per cent for the German garden market in 2006. This emerges from the industry report on the garden market that the consultancy has just brought out. It puts a figure of € 10.6 bn on the 2005 market volume. No end to the market's long-term growth is in sight. An increase of just under six per cent in terms of value is forecast for the period from 2006 to 2010. The expectation is for above-average rates of growth in the categories of bedding and balcony plants, small packs of pesticides, lawn fertilisers, metal or wooden furniture for the garden or balcony, water in the garden and barbecues.
