Takeover in garden market

Windhager of Thalgau, Austria, acquired 100 per cent of Jung Garten & Freizeit, of Neunkirchen, Germany, from the Australian company Gale Pacific with effect from 1 September 2006. The company, which regards itself as the leading company for gardening aids in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, announces a two-brand strategy in the gardening segment with the Windhager and Flora-Tec names.
According to information from the company itself, the Windhager group achieves consolidated annual sales of approx. € 100 mio with a workforce of 400. It has marketing subsidiaries operating in Germany, Switzerland, France and Czechia.
