The French DIY retail group was able to increase sales by 2.8 per cent

Bricorama, the French DIY retail group, managed to increase its sales by 2.8 per cent in the second quarter to € 165.9 mio, after a poor first quarter result when sales showed a decrease of 1.5 per cent. The company disclosed sales growth of 0.8 per cent to € 305.8 mio for the first six months. Sales in France increased by 0.6 per cent to € 118.3 mio in the second quarter, and the company announced growth of 6.3 per cent for its activities in Belgium and the Netherlands as an Intergamma franchisee. Developments in Spain are going according to plan: sales amount to € 2.3 mio, and the group's third Spanish store opened at Alcoy in late June. For the full year the group expects sales to be up in the order of 5 per cent.
