Kingfisher intends to renovate part of its loss-making British stores

Kingfisher intends to renovate 110 of its largest B&Q Warehouse stores, according to an AFX News report. Over the next three years Kingfisher may well invest up to £ 200 mio (€ 293 mio) in this project. The report reveals that the renovations carried out so far in Luton, Gloucester and Milton Keynes have resulted in a definitely positive feedback. In May Kingfisher announced a 45 per cent drop in profits for the first quarter, with the British B&Q stores proving to be the worst loss-makers, having recorded a drop of 70 per cent.
