Anniversary in Austria

July sees Hornbach celebrate ten years in Austria. The German DIY multiple is meanwhile represented by eleven branches in five different federal states and, according to its own figures, has a market share of twelve per cent. The combined retail area of the stores amounts to 110 000 m², and sales/m² is given as € 2 311. For "the first and only time" as the press release puts it, the company is going to break its permanent low pricing strategy and celebrate the anniversary by offering 90 products at special prices. The intention is for these products then to stay at the new prices.
