New boss at Formido

Jan van den Ham, 52, is to be the new managing director of Formido, the Netherlands DIY chain. He will succeed Carel Paardekooper, who is resigning for health reasons, according to an announcement in the MIXonline business service. The report says that Mr Paardekooper will still remain in the employ of the parent company Maxeda, the former Vendex/KBB group. Mr van den Hamm will take up his new responsibilities on 1 July. He is moving from Trendhopper, a supplier of furniture and home accessories in the Netherlands.
