The Spanish buying cooperative, Brico Group, is working on a uniform market approach, according to a report in the Spanish trade journal Bricolaje, in order to be better positioned to transport and communicate the brand. The new board wants around 60 per cent of the current total of 70 or more outlets in Spain to appear under the Brico Group banner by 2008. The cooperative, which has been active in the Spanish market for more than 16 years, intends to increase its number of DIY stores to 90 within two years.
