The Dutch garden market grew by two per cent last year

According to figures from Stichting Tuinpromotie Nederland, the Dutch garden market grew by two per cent last year to € 2.4 bn. This was reported by the Dutch trade magazine Mix in its May issue. The biggest increase in sales recorded was five per cent for garden equipment, decorative accessories and other materials. Overall the market share of the garden centres fell from 39 to 38 per cent, but they continue to lead the market in plants, with a share of 60 per cent for annuals and 70 per cent for perennials.
