Strong growth abroad

With a total of 306 members, the Austrian 3e Group generated sales of € 488 mio in the 2005 financial year, which amounts to an increase of 2.5 per cent over the previous year. In its business abroad the group succeeded in achieving a sales increase of 8 per cent to € 106 mio. In Austria sales were 1 per cent up to € 382 mio. "Though here you must take into account the fact that, in the home market, we constantly have to compensate for the loss of members who close down their businesses. If we make allowance for this in our calculations, our existing members have generated a sales increase of 3 per cent," explained Dr Günther Pacher, chairman of 3e.
