New man at the top

Canadian Tire is appointing Tom Gauld as its president and CEO. He will be the successor to Wayne Sales, who will be available to the company until the expiry of his contract in June 2007. Tom Gauld's last position was that of president of Canadian Tire Financial Services. He joined the company in 1993 as vice president marketing.
