The number one home improvement retailer hopes that this move will further leverage its contractor business

As Home Depot announced yesterday, the company has agreed to purchase Ener Bank USA from CMS Energy. The bank offers credits for renovation and modernisation projects, which tradesmen and contractors can offer to their customers. Projects eligible for such credits include the replacement of windows and doors, modernisation of heating and air-conditioning systems, renovation of kitchens and bathrooms, roofing jobs, painting and decorating, and landscaping. "This acquisition is also part of our strategy of developing business relations with trade customers," is the comment made by Frank Balke, EVP Business Development and Corporate Operations, on the acquisition.
