According to a report in the Danish trade magazine Puff, the Danish cooperative organisation Ditas achieved sales at retail of DKK 17 bn (€ 2.28 bn) in 2005, which means it remains number one in Denmark. Ditas is owned by about 85 Danish timber merchants operating 220 of the approximate total of 450 stores. In addition to marketing and financial functions, the cooperative offers two building materials and DIY retail concepts, Råd & Dåd and Byggekram, as well as Proffen, the sales format for tradesmen.
