Strong rise in sales volume

EMV-Profi (Germany) announced its figures for the year 2005 at this year's partners' meeting in Mallorca. In summary: It was the most profitable trading year ever, with a 19.79 per cent increase in the centralised processing volume resulting from considerable growth in membership and the expansion of existing locations in 2005. Following the addition of 48 new members, the cooperative numbered 257 affiliated companies in the recently completed trading year, so that EMV-Profi now ranks seventh in the Top Ten DIY retailers in Germany. The cooperative organisation paid out an average bonus rate of 7.74 per cent for the 2004 trading year. It was able to increase the rate to 8.76 per cent for the 2005 trading year. Centrally processed sales for the first quarter 2006 also show a gain of 18.39 per cent.
