The German sanitary market experienced a drop of around five per cent last year

The sanitary market in Germany experienced negative development in the year 2005. This fact emerges from the latest Consumer Scope study published by GfK. It reveals that demand dropped by around five per cent in terms of volume. There were, however, great differences in the individual product categories. For instance, the drop in demand for taps and fittings was relatively small, but baths, shower trays and shower enclosures, on the other hand, experienced a decline that almost reached two figures.
