Ninth national market

This summer will see Hornbach start building two outlets in Romania (Bucharest), marking the company's entry into its ninth national market overall. According to board chairman Albrecht Hornbach in an interview with the Rheinpfalz daily, selling should begin in 2007. It is also hoped to make a start on building two new stores in Switzerland this summer, and three new DIY stores are to be set up in the Netherlands. The goal is for a total of between 20 and 30, according to Albrecht Hornbach.
