Sales down for Toom DIY stores

The Rewe Group grew by just under half a billion euro to € 41.7 bn in the 2005 financial year. This amounts to growth of 2.2 per cent. At € 525 mio, the group result (EBITA) is slightly above projection and just under last year's figure (2004: € 544 mio). The 221 Toom DIY stores together achieved net sales of € 1.255 bn in 2005 (-2 per cent). Despite this drop in sales, the company says that profit on sales of the Toom DIY stores has actually risen.
