First IPM in Dubai

Messe Essen describes the first IPM Dubai – the International Plant Expo Middle East – as a "brilliant start". A total of 1 521 visitors from more than 50 countries visited the trade fair from 14 - 16 March 2006 at the Airport Expo Dubai. The exhibitors came from twelve countries. The organisers expect their total of just under 100 to double next year already. They presented a range of products from the categories of plants, horticultural technology, floristry and merchandising, and 90 per cent of them want to be there at the next IPM Dubai from 6 - 8 March 2007. The visitors came from target groups that include plant producers, wholesalers and retailers, horticulturists and landscaping specialists. They came from the entire Gulf region, from east Africa, the Indian subcontinent and central Asia. European and American trade visitors were also there at the event.
