Leroy Merlin will probably launch its first DIY store in Greece at the end of the year. Situated within the greater Athens area, the new outlet will open its doors to customers on a floorspace of 6 000 m². This will mark the initiation of activities in Greece, where the retail structures are still quite traditional, by the second-largest DIY retail group in western Europe after Praktiker. At present Praktiker operates seven locations there with a combined retail area of 53 651 m².
