3.4 per cent more sales

The Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte Holding AG recorded a big leap in earnings in the 2005 financial year. According to the company's combined financial report, earnings before interest, tax and appreciation (EBITA) were up by 31.6 per cent from € 80.4 mio to € 105.8 mio. Praktiker considers the key factors behind this increase were the group's successful expansion of locations abroad and a consistent cost and personnel management policy at home. Sales revenues rose in the recently completed financial year from € 2.93 bn to € 3.03 bn, which amounts to a sales increase of 3.4 per cent.
