Hagebau ended 2005 with a slight deficit: centrally invoiced sales declined by 0.6 per cent over the previous year to € 2.993 bn. Sales in the retail division were three per cent down to € 857 mio. The sales figures for the Hagebaumarkt outlets were somewhat better at € 1.440 bn, which amounts to a 2.5 per cent decline, or 2.4 per cent down in like-for-like terms. The cooperative organisation expects a sales increase of 2.7 per cent for the current year. January is already pointing in the right direction, with sales seven per cent higher than comparable figures from last year. These figures were announced at Hagebau's winter workshop.
