Hagebau attains previous year's level

In 2005 Hagebau achieved centrally invoiced sales of € 3.314 bn according to an extrapolation, which suggests a positioning just slightly over the previous year's level of € 3.313 bn. This announcement from the cooperative's central office represents an upward correction of the estimate made in November. It also says that the strong second half of the year was the main contributory factor. The reference year of 2004 was marked by a great number of special promotions celebrating two anniversaries, 40 years since Hagebau was founded and 25 years of Hagebau stores. The cooperative assumes that it will generate a moderate increase in sales in 2006 where both the specialist trade and DIY retailing are concerned.
