After a number of fairly poor years, window markets in Central and Eastern Europe showed very positive development again in 2004. A building boom is in progress in the East: the markets in Russia, the Ukraine and Bulgaria enjoyed growth rates of over 20 per cent in 2004, according to a current study from the Interconnection Consulting Group in Vienna.  Overall the Eastern European window market grew by 18 per cent to 29.5 mio window units sold. One of the most interesting and fastest growing markets is the Ukraine (+30 per cent).
You can read a detailed report on the development of the Eastern European window market in the forthcoming issue of DIY in Europe No. 1-2/06.
