Sales up at Baumax

Baumax has reported an increase of 6.2 per cent in sales for the first nine months of the financial year compared with the same period last year. In Austria sales rose by 3.3 per cent, while sales in the expanding countries of Central and Eastern Europe grew by 9.7 per cent. Poor weather affected the sales trend in the gardening segment, according to a company press release. An overall volume of sales of € 1.1 bn is expected for 2005, with expanding countries accounting for 48 per cent of this figure.
