Rautakesko, Finland, reports 62.5 per cent increase in sales for the third quarter
Rautakesko (Finland) increased its sales in the third quarter by 62.5 per cent to € 506 mio. The strong growth is attributable to the takeover of Norwegian company Norgros (Byggmakker chain) and the Stroymaster DIY stores in St. Petersburg. Rautakesko’s foreign operations accounted for 46.8 per cent of its sales.
For the first nine months of the financial year Rautakesko recorded a sales increase of 29.6 per cent to € 1 134 mio. In Finland, net sales amounted to € 606 mio, equivalent to growth of 6.4 per cent compared with the same period last year. Sales by Rautakesko outlets abroad came to € 527 mio (+73.1 per cent). Profits rose during this period by 4.8 per cent to € 46 mio.
