A total of 17 487 trade visitors came to Louisville, Kentucky (USA) for the garden trade fair Expo 2005. That is seven per cent more than last time. There was a five per cent rise in the number of dealers who could be found at the Kentucky Exposition Center from 14 to 16 October. Registrations by visitors from abroad totalled 706, which amounts to growth of 61 per cent. While the number of professionals from the field of horticulture also increased (by 14 per cent), the fair was less well received by garden centre operators and middlemen (by –1 per cent and –16 per cent respectively).
