Yesterday began with President Gilles Cailles greeting over 300 delegates from 20 countries

Yesterday, Wednesday, saw President Gilles Cailles greet over 300 delegates from 20 countries to the third Fediyma Forum at the Heysel auditorium in Brussels. They included not only representatives of DIY retailers from Belgium and France, but also from the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain, plus Hungary as well. Only managers from the DIY sector in Germany were missing from this international event. Even Obi's CEO Sergio Giroldi, who was invited to attend as one of the speakers, has cried off.
The focus of the two-day event is on the DIY consumer. Who he is exactly, and where he goes shopping, what his preferences are, and whether there even is such a thing as a European DIY customer: delegates were provided with answers to all these questions during the first presentation, when Frank Quix of market researchers Q&A and François Corda of Dyrup France outlined the main results of the consumer study commissioned by Fediyma and carried out in ten European countries.
