Opening of ninth Praktiker in Romania

Constanta is the location for Praktiker's ninth store in Romania, which opened on 19 August. Available there on a retail area of 6 220 m², including a 750 m² garden centre, are 40 000 products, around 85 per cent of which are sourced from domestic suppliers. The main product categories include building materials, structural elements and installation materials. This new opening will allow Praktiker to further reinforce its dominant position in the Romanian market, where it now has a combined retail area of 61 000 m². This puts it well ahead of its French rival Bricostore, which has three stores and a retail area of 34 000 m². Two more new openings are planned for this year.
