Mainly smaller cutting widths

In 2003 the size of the electric lawnmower market in Germany amounted to approximately € 52.2 mio and a total of approx. 440 900 units. These figures come from Gardena with reference to GfK. About 80 per cent of the electric lawnmowers sold in DIY stores have a cutting width of 34 cm or 38 cm. Around 5.7 mio lawnmowers valued at € 1.9 bn are sold throughout Europe annually; 56 per cent of this total are electric or cordless mowers.
